O.k., you have discovered the PERFECT network marketing opportunity! A distributor for the company has proudly exhorted all the benefits of getting involved, and visions of dollar signs are dancing in your head. But WHOA, hold on, did you perform these 3 crucial steps of due diligence BEFORE jumping in head first?

Step 1) Go To The Company Website And Gather Background Information

I know what you are thinking. The company website is just going to be full of company propaganda. And, basically you would be correct. The background information you will be obtaining concerns the company ownership and management teams. Any network marketing opportunity worth it’s “salt” should provide ample background information on the leadership team. If the website does not provide ample information regarding the backgrounds of each of the leadership team, the company could be trying to hide something.

NOT, A Good Sign!

Ideally, the leadership team should have ample network marketing experience. It is a “red flag” when most of the management team has business experience not related to network marketing. It is also important to determine how long the company has been in business. Generally speaking, you want to get involved with a company that has been launched for at least 1 year. It is beneficial to get involved early, but not at the expense of losing your investment.

Step 2) Get Opinions Regarding Your Network Marketing Opportunity From Google

Perform a Google search with the search terms consisting of the name of the company followed by the word,”scams.” Gather your fact finding from the free listings that appear on the left. Often you will find forum postings that chronicle the experiences others have had with your potential network marketing opportunity. Take these experiences seriously, but keep in mind that you probably do not have the full story. Try to form your opinion from a consensus of experiences.

Step 3) “Interview” At Least 3 Different Potential Sponsors

This step is definitely the most important. NEVER limit yourself to being recruited by only 1 potential sponsor. Again, go to Google and type in the company name as the search term. This time you will be selecting an ad listing that appears on the right side of the page. This time you will be taken to a website either owned or operated by your potential sponsor. If the home page of the site promotes the company well, you might want to contact that individual. ALWAYS let potential sponsors know of your screening process. Make them aware that you will be “interviewing” others. How your potential sponsor reacts to the competition could be a determining factor in the selection process. If you get a barrage of sensational promises,

Drop them like a “HOT POTATO!”

Selecting the best network marketing opportunity is very challenging. You will be tempted to make quick decisions. But you MUST take your time.

In the end, your diligence will pay off and your network marketing business will turn out to be a great network marketing opportunity!

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) home based businesses have very little to do with the selling of products. The very reason they are called MLMs is that those levels are what makes all the difference. The difficulty with MLM schemes and home based businesses is the building of as big of a downline as possible. Downline members are basically people who you refer to become part of the MLM sales team below you. These members then have to do the same, with more members in their downline, and each member in the downline at that level have to keep doing this before profits really begin to look like profits.

One way to find prospective downline members (or recruits) is lead generation. This is not as simple as it sounds and needs some amount of planning. Naturally, it is not going to be as easy as people seeing the advertisements about your home based businesses, its products and getting excited enough to sign up instantly. There are millions of MLM home based businesses out there with the same products and payouts. Most people considering joining an MLM scheme will have questions. At the very least, you should be able to answer all of these questions without repeatedly emailing backlinks to a FAQ page. To that end, you must familiarize yourself as much as possible with the MLM distributor, the products, and the compensation plan.

You have to have a comfort level with the knowledge about your own home based business so that when you talk to people it shows through. You might generate a ton of leads but if your answer is not satisfactory, chances are you will not convert most of those leads. Some sort of appointment calendar or planner should also be kept diligently so that follow-ups are not missed. It can take several callbacks before people will be willing to invest in your MLM home based business. You are basically selling, and selling can take convincing many times over.

So once, you know everything about your MLM home based business and you have the few basic sales tools in place it is time to start generating leads. To begin with, make a list of everyone you know, friends, acquaintances, relatives, anyone with a computer and an internet connection that could be a prospect. Start with these people. If you make mistakes in your sales pitch, they will forgive you and since their answers will be more candid, this will make good practice for later on. One important thing to do upon discovering that someone is not interested in your MLM business is to ask him or her for a few names of people who might be. This way you can build a healthy network of contacts. Sometimes they may hesitate to give you the names, so just ask politely for only the names of the people they feel they can give you without any trouble.

Start collecting business cards, email addresses, and phone numbers. This is for the purpose of making cold calls because you never really know who might be interested. Cold calling is one of the most difficult things to do for any fresh salesperson. It might be uncomfortable in the beginning but keep at it. All it needs is confidence. There is no trick to it. Then there are the MLM trade journals, another good lead generation source for home based businesses. People considering MLMs are already reading these journals. Sometimes it is a nice touch to include a press release, along with your advertisement. Naturally, the first rule of advertising is that your ad should be unlike all the others in order to get attention.

Most affiliate programs will have a hidden cost for those who don’t know better. That is the purchasing of MLM leads. The trouble is there are probably dozens of people out there with the same leads and the competition gets tougher. A lot of companies will have a list of emails and phone numbers for people who in the past might have shown interest in MLM opportunities. Purchasing leads for MLM home based businesses is finally a matter of how good you are at converting those leads.

There are a lot of people out there and a lot of websites that are in the business of nothing but selling leads. Therefore, before buying leads for a MLM home based business make sure that the leads are relevant and that a genuine company of good repute is providing them. A list of emails and names can be sold many times over, make sure you are getting fresh leads only. Do some background research on the company selling leads. The Do Not Call registry has phone numbers that you should not buy. Checking for those numbers is up to you. The company selling you the numbers is not required to do this.

MLM failure after MLM failure, that’s the way my MLM career began. Sadly, most people give up on MLM before they ever achieve any success whatsoever. What I didn’t know at the time, was that all my failures were actually preparing me for phenomenal MLM success!

You may have failed at MLM over and over again, but have you ever stopped to think what you have learned along the way? If you’ve paid any attention at all you’ve learned a lot more than you probably realize. If nothing else you’ve certainly learned what not to do!

MLM isn’t about convincing people to do anything. Most MLM rookies make this mistake so often you would think that they would begin to understand. The harder you work to convince your prospects that this business will change their lives, the more likely they are to never get involved in the industry.

I had to learn this lesson the hard way even after I had become incredibly successful. It’s entirely possible for you to still be learning valuable lessons even after reaching financial goals that you thought would elude you forever.

Many years ago we were enjoying the tremendous life that MLM success can give you. What I’m really trying to say, without actually saying it, is that I wasn’t really working my MLM business because I didn’t have to. Our company was offering some kind of incentive, it’s been so long that I really can’t remember what it was, but I had been goofing off for so long that I didn’t have any prospects in my prospecting pipeline.

It was the final day of the promotion and I was meeting with a successful businessman and sharing with him how great our business was. By this time I was no longer trying to convince people that my MLM opportunity was right for them, but I was selling really hard that day trying to qualify for that special promotion.

I finished what I knew was a great presentation and there was no doubt in my mind that this guy was going to sign on the dotted line. I was exceptionally proud of myself when my prospect said the words that I will never forget. “Scott, if your business is so awesome why do you have to have me sign up right now?”

My heart sank, and I struggled to answer his question. Then the right words just flew out of my mouth, “I don’t need you to do this right now” I said. Then I thanked him for being honest with me and realized that I had just learned a valuable lesson. Trying to convince people to join your MLM opportunity makes you look desperate!

Sure it’s easy to get frustrated and quit. Just imagine how much better you’ll be if you just stay in the game long enough to learn valuable lessons that will pay huge dividends over the next 5 to 10 years of your life. I’ve shared that story with thousands of people in my MLM business and some of them understood exactly why I was sharing that story with them. So they wouldn’t make the same mistake I did.

That day I blew it. Perhaps at some point in the future that prospect may have joined my team and perhaps he would have been an MLM superstar. That wasn’t going to happen now because I had given him the wrong impression of our industry.

How often do you think MLM rookies make that same mistake? One of the biggest reasons people fail in MLM is that they fail to learn valuable lessons along the way. It’s so much easier to start believing that MLM doesn’t work isn’t it? It can’t be my fault. What if you quit blaming everybody else and started to realize that we all have a lot to learn on the way to success?

Hopefully you’ve got an upline mentor to teach you how not to do this business, but even if you don’t, stay in the game and learn from your own mistakes. You’ll be amazed just how much you can learn and how much better you life will be when you do.

Watching Britney Spears self destruct is eerily similar to how most MLM newbies ruin their shot at life changing success.

I’m not listening to anybody.

If it wasn’t so sad and totally unnecessary perhaps Britney Spears ruining her life in front of our very eyes would be comical. Comedian Dennis Miller refused to make light of the situation in a recent interview because it’s so obvious that Britney doesn’t have a clue.

I’m deeply saddened by MLM newbies all the time as they choose to fail because they won’t listen to anybody, not even the people that want nothing but the best for them. We’ve seen hundreds, perhaps thousands of people come and go in MLM because they wouldn’t even stop to consider the possibility that somebody could help them.

What is it that drives us to go our own way when we make such devastating mistakes in our lives?

Success in MLM is not life or death, however failing to reach our potential and living lives of quiet desperation is cruel and tragic in its own way. What we’ve seen in more than a decade of phenomenal success in MLM invigorates us and saddens at the same time.

Having lived through our own personal “downward spiral” we can come to terms with what Britney is going through and can only hope that our experience, as well as hers, might inspire somebody to turn their life around.

Mired in mediocrity for almost two years, we couldn’t do anything right. Having been a successful radio and TV personality before that awful time in our lives only made it harder to accept the pathetic free fall that we were facing.

And then we found MLM. Sure the money has made a huge difference in our lives but it’s all the other things that our MLM opportunity has given us that has made the biggest difference in our lives.

Why don’t we talk about the personal growth benefits of MLM more often? Perhaps every MLM training should include the personal testimonies of the many lives that have been forever altered for the better, thanks to this much maligned industry.

If only MLM newbies and Miss Spears would start listening, perhaps they too, would find a much better life. So many lives could be so much better if only we would open our ears more often.

Success in MLM , as in life, doesn’t have to be as difficult as we make it.

I can do whatever I want to.

One of the reasons we love MLM so very much is that we own our own business. We are not required to report to work at a certain time or perform a task that we cannot stand wearing a certain kind of clothing that we would rather not wear.

In MLM we are our own boss, something we cherish but something that frequently causes well intentioned MLM newbies to fail. Although we haven’t heard Britney say it, the way she blatantly ignores the words of all who care about her, implies that she relishes the opportunity to remind the world that she can do whatever she wants to.

Such is the battle cry of many an MLM failure! It’s my business and I can run it any way I want to.

Yes you can, but sadly with that attitude you will, most likely, fail to achieve any success whatsoever.

Like we said before, if it wasn’t so tragic, it would be comical.

If you are also struggling with your mlm business and thinking that there must be a better way, I wrote this article just for you. It does not matter if you are an mlm consultant with Quixtar, Herbalife, Amway or any other top network marketing company. This article is for you.
The mlm training showed me that everything we have been taught about building a network marketing business is wrong. I had to clear my mind of the lies that I have been told. Lies such as:
1. Everyone qualifies as my prospects. Therefore, everyone wants this. They just do not know it yet.
2. We are not really selling products. We are simply sharing.
3. Network marketing is easy. Anyone can do this business.
4. No selling or recruiting is needed. We will build your business for you.
5. Our products are the best on the market. Everyone will want them.
6. You do not have enough belief. You got to fake it to make it.
7. Trust in the proven system. It works. Do not try to recreate it.
These lies will continuously have you spending time and money chasing prospects who are not interested in your mlm opportunity plus giving products away. Eventually you will find yourself losing more than you are gaining.
Can you relate? I am sure most of you can.
At this point you can either fake it to make it, or, try something new. I was ready to try new network marketing strategies. This is where I began implementing new tactics in my mlm business.
My mlm training taught me that business systems are more important than my products. I learned that business systems work 24/7, are a great source of leverage and are very important in achieving mlm success. I recommend to all my prospects who are interested in network marketing to develop systems in their mlm business.
After learning about systems, I was taught that communication is the next priority. By communication I mean mlm marketing. Every business, whether traditional or network marketing, should use proper marketing strategies.
Mlm marketing strategies are used to attract prospects to our network marketing business. Being professional helps a lot in mlm lead generation. Prospects search you out instead of you looking for them.
One way of being a professional is by using informational marketing. By delivering helpful and useful information to your target market, they will come back to you for more. Then soon they will want to join your network marketing business with less resistance.
Would this make life in network marketing easier? Of course it will. Prospects coming to you instead of you going out there thinking multi level marketing is for everyone and ending up facing rejection and embarrassment. You will save a lot of time and money by being a professional mlm consultant.
At this point my regular mlm training comes in. I still do follow ups but there is a big difference. My prospects are already sold to the idea of network marketing and are mainly interested in the compensation plan. Therefore, I believe that I am well on my way to mlm success.
If you are struggling with your network marketing business, I am advising you to never give up. Try learning new strategies and theories. Start by reading self development books. Good luck.

Laurel (my wife and business partner) and I have been “connected” to the MLM industry for a long time, either as customers, as business builders or as trainers. We love the industry, almost all of the products and services it offers, and most of the companies in it.

But we disagree with much of the training. We think the training – or lack thereof – is the Achilles’ heel of MLM. It’s why, in our opinion, the vast majority of the well-meaning and hardworking distributors fail. Miserably. For one thing, it doesn’t teach distributors what to say and do to REALLY get people’s attention – and without attention, there’s no interest, no reaction, and no action.

And we’ve observed their failure to communicate properly – that’s what it comes down to – everywhere distributors market and advertise their products or opportunity: at networking events (especially), with their Web site, their capture page, business cards, sizzle cards, flyers, ads, emails, etc. Everywhere.

Let me share with you the best tip we gave people when we used to do live or telephone training sessions: Imagine, from now on, that every person you meet – online or offline – is a four-drawer filing cabinet. Your simple job – we didn’t say easy – is to get them to open a “mental drawer” to take in your information in order to make a decision about your products and business opportunity, with the hope that in the end, they will discriminate in your favor.

The only two questions in your mind at this point should be: “What does he mean by ‘opening a mental drawer’?” and “How do you do that?”. Great questions. Let’s answer them one at a time.

Imagine that everyone is a filing cabinet with legs, feet, arms and hands, neck and head. As you probably suspect – just look at your own life – this “filing cabinet” is bombarded daily with hundreds, perhaps thousands of messages, from the outside – come to this event, register for this course, buy this brand of car, this house in this part of town, this shampoo, eat these cereals, eat at this restaurant, go there for your holidays, send your daughter to this school, use our credit card, our cellphone package, etc.

There are also a lot of messages coming from the inside – gotta renew my membership this week, gotta call the accountant, gotta order more checks from the bank, gotta change the batteries in the smoke detector, gotta get the oil changed on the SUV, gotta do this, gotta go here, gotta buy that…

Here’s what uninformed MLMers too often do: they bombard the poor soul with worthless words that just bounce off the sides of the filing cabinet and pile up at the bottom, words that will never be read, heard or referred to ever. Let me lift a corner of the veil and reveal why these words are worthless: these words speak of features and particulars. I’ll elaborate on this in a minute.

Let me share with you a very wise observation from a marketing genius named Michel Neray: “If you’re like most people, you try to tell as much as you can, as quickly as you can, in order to give your prospect as much information as possible in the hopes that something will trigger some interest. After all, you’ve got excellent credentials to describe great case studies, impressive expertise and a gazillion years of experience, and you really, really know what you’re talking about, right? If you never seem to get people as interested as you had hoped they would be, here’s why: the person you’re talking to simply can’t process all the information you’re overwhelming him with, and consequently, he just tunes out.”

They tune out. They tune out because you give them too much information, yes, but more important, they tune out because you give them the WRONG information. I’ll address that in the answer to your second question.

Your mission, when you are marketing and advertising your wonderful MLM opportunity and your fantastic products or services, is to get the person you are communicating with to pull open one of the drawers to receive and store your information – the information they’ll need later to make a decision.

Bluntly put, if you don’t get them interested enough – if you don’t get their ATTENTION – for them to open that mental drawer, you are SOL. Finished. Kaput. Sayonara. Va con dios amigo!

If they don’t open the drawer, they will NOT visit your Web site, they will NOT keep your business card or sizzle card, they will NOT read your flyer, ad or email. Consequently, they will NOT buy your amazing products and will certainly NOT join your business opportunity. EVER!

Now, your second question was (should have been) “How do you do that?” Here’s how: first, you start my remembering that the most listened-to radio station anywhere on the planet is WIII-FM – What Is In It For Me. Then, you tell the person what is in it for him or her if they buy your products or join your business.

Give them the BENEFITS, first. Not the features, not the particulars, not how many years the company has been around, the fact that they’re in 12 countries already, that your upline makes 10 grand a month, that you’ve signed up 16 people in the last week, that if they buy now, they get two for one and free shipping, or the fact that you can re-insert yourself in your own leg by buying extra positions. WHO CARES?

I’ll tell you who cares: someone who has just taken in, tasted, chewed and digested a fantastic benefit for them. Someone who has asked – verbally or in their head – the question “How do you do that?“ or maybe “Can you tell me more?” When they ask one of those two questions – consciously or subconsciously – they’ve now open a drawer and they are ready and willing (eager even if the benefit is huge) to take in your info and read it, watch it, listen to it, ponder it, study it attentively later. You’re “in”! You’re on first base!

Features tell, benefits sell! Features make the “filing cabinet” airtight, benefits open up drawers. Don’t get me wrong, people will need the features, the particulars, the details to make a decision – LATER! But they FIRST need to see the benefits, or all the other stuff will be of no interest, no value. And what do people do – what do YOU do? – with things that are valueless? You discard them.

One more thing about benefits and features: you need to know the difference.

This is a serious problem I observe daily in MLM campaigns everywhere: most MLMers, it seems, don’t know the difference between the two. Let me shed some light on this. A feature is what something IS or HAS (a compensation plan with an auto-ship) while a benefit is what something DOES (it guarantees your income from month to month). And even better if you can express the benefit(s) in terms of what that thing does FOR me, the prospect (What Is In It For ME!!!).

For example, which one of the following two approaches do you think has a better chance of enticing Bob to open up a drawer and store your information for future consideration?:

“One thing I like about our comp plan, Bob, is that the customers get their products via auto-ship.” (Bob thinking: “Who cares?”)

“You know Bob, because your customers get their product via auto-ship, your income is guaranteed every month, even if you spend half the time away from the office, doing what you really like to do…”

(Bob dreaming: “… like fly-fishing, playing golf, building the cottage…”)

In conclusion, people lead busy lives. They pay attention only to things that they consider of value, to THEM (WIII-FM…). Benefits represent value, features don’t – not until there is a benefit. If you want to get people’s attention, give them a good reason for action – aka the right information. That’s the only way to get them to open their mental drawer. When you get enough people to do that, sky’s the limit.

I wish you ALL the business success you desire and deserve. (Just remember that…what you “desire” is a function of your ambition, what you “deserve” is a function of your ACTIONS…Are the two aligned?)

Prospects are basically the foundation of any business, as they are the potential customers to the business. So just how do YOU find MLM prospects?Let’s start out with a definition of the word promote, which is the most important word in finding prospects for your MLM business. The word promote means: to make known.I was recently doing some MLM training with a person in my downline. She needed some help with her business, which was not growing. As I asked various questions I finally found the “nasty bug” that was stopping her network marketing business from moving forward. She didn’t want to come off as being or sounding sales-y. This stopped her from promoting.HOW DOES EVERYONE ELSE PROMOTE?A politician promotes how he/she can make a whole community’s life better; so he’s/she’s making herself known to the public by promoting and making known to as many people as possible what he/she can do for them. If you’ve noticed, politicians promote on TV, radio, signs stuck in the grass or on telephone poles along a busy street or maybe speaking at various group meetings.A college promotes what courses it offers. It might promote on radio, might promote to high schools or through sporting events. A stockbroker promotes that he can help his/her prospect make money. A local restaurant will promote via radio, or mailing brochures or discount coupons.THE WORST THING YOU CAN EVER DO IN YOUR MLM BUSINESS CAREER IS TO THINK, PONDER, WORRY OR EVEN GET THE IDEA THAT IT’S UNPROFESSIONAL TO PROMOTE!You really need to know and understand promotion. The only way you can have prospects, therefore customers or distributors, is to promote. The only way for you to make money in network marketing is to promote. You can write down your dreams and goals and study them every night, but you’re as effective as a billboard in the middle of the desert. No one knows you exist until you make yourself known. So if you ever find yourself where your business isn’t growing or you don’t have enough prospects, enough customers, or enough distributors, what do you do? Promote! WHY DO YOU PROMOTE? The reason you promote is to create desire for your product. If you don’t create a desire for your product, it’s very difficult to achieve MLM success. How would you know that someone desires your product or business? Well certainly if you sent a postcard and someone called the number, that’s someone showing desire in your MLM Business. Even if a person called and asked, “How much is this,” it would still be someone showing desire or at least slight interest. If you called a friend and asked them to look at something and they said, “Send it to me,” that’s showing a desire. People sometimes refer to desire as “responses,” as in, someone responded to my promotion.DIFFERENT TYPES OF PROMOTIONSo now let’s talk about different types of promotion that create desire. You could promote your MLM Business in:1. The Help Wanted, the Sales and Marketing or the Business Opportunity sections of a newspaper.2. Advertising section of magazines. 3. I’m sure you could have guessed that I would name that one. But you would be surprised at how many people, when mentioning all the ways to promote, miss that one. In fact, if you use traditional promotion with the mindset of just finding a network of people to work , you will fare far better than most who only measure their responses with how many people respond to their advertisement. You can turn one response from a promotion into thousands if you properly network. One other place to find prospects for your business is to promote to MLM leads that you purchase from a lead company. The advantage of this is you’re only paying for those who’ve responded and you’re not paying for all the people who didn’t respond. If I send out 10,000 postcards and get 20 responses, then I paid for 9,980 post cards that didn’t get a response.The advantage of writing your own ads of course is being able to target your specific audience with your specific product or opportunity message, which is VERY important and should not be underestimated. In contrast, when you buy leads, you’re buying general ads; perhaps people who’ve responded to wanting a home-based business. The other downside to buying leads is that very often, lead companies resell their leads to more than just you; so you’ve got extra competition to deal with.THREE BROAD WAYS TO PROMOTENow it probably sounded like I just contradicted myself; I didn’t. I just saved you years of running in circles trying to figure out the advantages and the disadvantages to generating your own leads or buying leads. This is the game. You must promote. There are three broad ways to promote.1. Networking: this costs the least. You’re going to have the costs of meals with prospects and the costs of joining clubs/associations. So I have rock climbing club fees, I have mountain climbing association fees, horseback riding fees, mountain biking fees; these are like $50-$100 dollars a year. 2. Buying leads: this is more expensive than networking, but less expensive than generating your own. It has some advantages and disadvantages: sometimes you get some hot leads; sometimes, you swear you’re calling a graveyard. 3. Generating your own: this is the most expensive, but has the advantages of targeting your prospects. What you should be doing, if you see the big picture and want the very big income, is you need to be doing all three. All the time. Ideally you’d start out by networking, which will create enough money to buy MLM leads, then you’ll generate enough money from the leads you purchased to generate your own leads. My point is, as soon as you start making any money, reinvest it in promotion.One other MLM training tip: don’t measure your success by just your immediate responses. MLM failure after MLM failure, that’s the way my MLM career began. Sadly, most people give up on MLM before they ever achieve any success whatsoever. What I didn’t know at the time, was that all my failures were actually preparing me for phenomenal MLM success!

You may have failed at MLM over and over again, but have you ever stopped to think what you have learned along the way? If you’ve paid any attention at all you’ve learned a lot more than you probably realize. If nothing else you’ve certainly learned what not to do!

MLM isn’t about convincing people to do anything. Most MLM rookies make this mistake so often you would think that they would begin to understand. The harder you work to convince your prospects that this business will change their lives, the more likely they are to never get involved in the industry.

I had to learn this lesson the hard way even after I had become incredibly successful. It’s entirely possible for you to still be learning valuable lessons even after reaching financial goals that you thought would elude you forever.

Many years ago we were enjoying the tremendous life that MLM success can give you. What I’m really trying to say, without actually saying it, is that I wasn’t really working my MLM business because I didn’t have to. Our company was offering some kind of incentive, it’s been so long that I really can’t remember what it was, but I had been goofing off for so long that I didn’t have any prospects in my prospecting pipeline.

It was the final day of the promotion and I was meeting with a successful businessman and sharing with him how great our business was. By this time I was no longer trying to convince people that my MLM opportunity was right for them, but I was selling really hard that day trying to qualify for that special promotion.

I finished what I knew was a great presentation and there was no doubt in my mind that this guy was going to sign on the dotted line. I was exceptionally proud of myself when my prospect said the words that I will never forget. “Scott, if your business is so awesome why do you have to have me sign up right now?”

My heart sank, and I struggled to answer his question. Then the right words just flew out of my mouth, “I don’t need you to do this right now” I said. Then I thanked him for being honest with me and realized that I had just learned a valuable lesson. Trying to convince people to join your MLM opportunity makes you look desperate!

Sure it’s easy to get frustrated and quit. Just imagine how much better you’ll be if you just stay in the game long enough to learn valuable lessons that will pay huge dividends over the next 5 to 10 years of your life. I’ve shared that story with thousands of people in my MLM business and some of them understood exactly why I was sharing that story with them. So they wouldn’t make the same mistake I did.

That day I blew it. Perhaps at some point in the future that prospect may have joined my team and perhaps he would have been an MLM superstar. That wasn’t going to happen now because I had given him the wrong impression of our industry.

How often do you think MLM rookies make that same mistake? One of the biggest reasons people fail in MLM is that they fail to learn valuable lessons along the way. It’s so much easier to start believing that MLM doesn’t work isn’t it? It can’t be my fault. What if you quit blaming everybody else and started to realize that we all have a lot to learn on the way to success?

Hopefully you’ve got an upline mentor to teach you how not to do this business, but even if you don’t, stay in the game and learn from your own mistakes. You’ll be amazed just how much you can learn and how much better you life will be when you do.

Most people involved in network marketing are a little like ourselves I suppose. We get by each month and get the opportunity to include a new person here and there. We follow all the right advice from our uplines, this is usually along the lines of reassurance that we should continue doing what we are doing and wait for the day it comes together.
