Stars moving on without franchise icon Mike Modano
DALLAS—The Dallas Stars are moving forward without franchise icon Mike Modano. Stars general manager Joe Nieuwendyk said Tuesday the team has decided not to offer Modano a contract. The highest-scoring American-born player in NHL history becomes a free agent Thursday.
